Great is Thy Faithfulness!!!

I love the song, "Great is Thy Faithfulness" The sound lyrics are so true.

Great is Thy faithfulness, oh God my Father;

As Thou hast been, Thou forever wilt be.

People have asked me what I have learned through these last few months of preparing for Africa. My answer: The faithfulness of my Savior. He has time and time again showed His faithfulness to me. First of all, saving me and changing me from my sin. I definitely wouldn't be on this track if it wasn't for God's saving grace and faithfulness to forgive my sin. I'm sure my life would look much different from what it does now if I didn't have Jesus as the Lord of my life. These last few months God has shown Himself more to me than ever before.
1.) He was faithful to provide this opportunity to serve at Amani. I first heard about Amani 3 years ago. I was ready to jump on a plane after I saw the sweet faces of the orphans. But the Lord has answered the prayers and desires of my heart. Where I have total peace and confidence that this is what the Lord wants from me this summer. To care for orphans. What an honor. To love and hold the ones who are at the center of God's heartbeat. I am amazed that God is giving me the chance to serve Him in this way.

2.) He has provided all that I need. Actually, He provided above and beyond what I asked for. The Lord has shown me that it's not about me. What I can do, or have done or will do. But it's all about Him and Him alone getting ALL the glory! He has shown me this by having fellow believers who I have never met- praying, supporting and some giving financially to what God has called me to. Only, because God has laid this on their hearts. There is no way that I could have done this alone. It is only because of Jesus and His work in me that I can go to Africa. It is only Jesus who raised the funds, provided and supplied every need.

3.) God has given me a great support base. First, my parents. They have been so faithful in praying for me. Not just in this adventure-but my whole life. They have prayed from the time I was young that I would always follow the Lord. I am so thankful that the Lord has answered their prayers. Secondly, my friends, they have prayed, supported and served me from the beginning. They baked delicious items for my bake sale and bought them, they donated items and priced items for my yard sale and sold lemonade. They have been prayed God's Word over me, listened to my prayer requests, they have memorized Scripture with me and written dozens of letters and notes of encouragement. They have been such faithful and amazing friends.

This is just a few examples of God's faithfulness!!
