Outpoured- Alice Reynolds Flower
“Oh to be spent for Jesus!
Living a life outpoured,
Doing His service holy,
Broken before the Lord.
Waiting His precious bidding,
Listening for His voice,
Yielded, Still and Steady,
Filling the place of His choice.
Oh to be spent for Jesus!
Never a power reserved.
Treasures so dear, so costly
Given unto the Lord.
Channels that carry His rivers
Empty must be, and clean
Wires that send His messages have no disconnection between
Lives that give sweetest perfume,
Pressure and breaking know
Would that give forth His fragrance?
Through garden shadows go
The box alabaster unbroken
No sweetness can ever give
The lives that are spent for Jesus, ever in riches live.

"Beyond the Hustle and Bustle" - a poem
The following poem was written by my beautiful and extremely talented sister Bethany! Enjoy! :)
"Beyond the Hustle and Bustle"
by Bethany Fowler
"When the turkey leftovers are eaten,
and everything 'Autumn' is put away,
the Christmas tree comes out,
and until after the 25th, it's here to stay.
We line up outside the stores,
at three a.m. no less,
to fight for that one gift
that everyone says is the best.
There's Santa Clauses in the malls,
Charity bell ringers too,
When we get the mail, there's a card saying,
"Merry Christmas, from me to you!"
The little gifts we buy,
the sweet cookies we bake,
the huge parties we host,
all to see who takes the cake!
Have we lost the real meaning of Christmas?
I should say so!
Now it's just about shopping, Rudolph,
and if we'll get any snow.
But the best gift ever given,
wasn't tied in bright colored string,
but rather swaddling clothes,
hardly fit for a king.
He's perfect, but humble.
Firm, but so kind.
And above His lowly birthplace,
a glittering star did shine.
So this Christmas, will you be caught up in the hustle and bustle?
Stand apart from the rest
and enjoy the glorious season-
knowing you are blessed."

The Prayer of My Heart
Let me not live uselessly-dear God.
May I never wander and become lost,
Forgetting all Your goodness and grace.
Never may I become numb to Your love,
Unaffected by the sacrifice of the world’s Savior.
Blood shed to heal my filthy, sinful heart.
Harden not, to Thee my heart,
Denying my belief in You- God.
Forgetting tender mercies of my Savior.
Full of myself, but empty and lost,
Unaware of Your redeeming love.
Oh, Lord! How deep is Your grace!
May I know Your sweet grace,
And feel the beating of Your heart.
For You, the unlovable I will love.
With Your eyes, I will see the hurting- dear God.
My heart be broken for the wayward and lost
As I have, may they run to the waiting Savior.
Lead me precious Savior!
Guide me with unending grace!
If everything dear to me was lost,
May joy overflow from my heart.
I will ever praise You- for You are my God!
And it is You that I love!
Beautiful Jesus, be my only love,
May I hold fast to the Savior.
Gracious and faithful God,
Full of wisdom and grace,
Bind me closer to Your heart,
And feel Your love for that which was lost.
Treasure Your Word-Oh my soul, so it not is lost!
Fatherless and orphaned I will hold and love.
Faithful and pure shall be my heart.
All that is in me, loving my Savior,
Forgiving with Your mercy and grace.
May I be a loyal and true servant- dear God.
You are the God who saves the lost,
Rich in grace and abundant in love!
Savior, let me love You with all my heart!
May I never wander and become lost,
Forgetting all Your goodness and grace.
Never may I become numb to Your love,
Unaffected by the sacrifice of the world’s Savior.
